Storytelling (IC-STRY)

About this course

Facts Inform. Stories Create Meaning.

People rarely act on information simply because they received it. They act when they understand why it matters.

Storytelling is a practical, hands-on course designed to help professionals use stories to create understanding, connection, and action. Participants learn why storytelling works, how to structure an effective story, how to shape stories for different audiences, how to build a library of meaningful workplace stories, and how to deliver them with purpose.

This is not a creative-writing course and it is not about becoming a performer. It is about using storytelling intentionally as a workplace communication skill.

Throughout the course, participants practice turning real experiences, ideas, challenges, and information into stories that support a clear communication outcome.

What Makes This Course Different

The goal is not simply to tell a better story. It is to create a better outcome.

Participants learn to start with what they need the audience to think, feel, understand, or do—and then determine how a story can help create that outcome.

They practice identifying the moments that matter, removing details that distract, creating structure and meaning, designing for the audience, and delivering stories in ways that feel clear, credible, and purposeful.

At Kintsugi Training Institute, you’ll learn through practical exercises, workplace scenarios, storytelling practice, discussion, and applied learning led by experienced trainers.
