Difficult Conversations (IC-DFCN)

About this course

Prepare Better. Stay in Dialogue. Move Forward.

The conversations we avoid are often the ones that matter most.

Difficult Conversations is a practical, interactive course designed to help professionals approach challenging workplace conversations with greater preparation, awareness, and confidence. Participants learn what makes a conversation difficult, how to prepare before entering it, how to maintain dialogue when pressure rises, and how to move toward meaningful outcomes.

This is not about memorizing scripts, avoiding disagreement, or learning how to “win” a conversation. It is about developing the judgment and communication skills needed to stay engaged when relationships, expectations, performance, decisions, trust, or important outcomes are at stake.

Throughout the course, participants work with realistic workplace situations and practice navigating conversations where agreement may not come easily—but understanding and forward movement are still possible.

What Makes This Course Different

A difficult conversation does not have to become a destructive one.

Participants learn to recognize what may be happening beneath the visible disagreement, prepare more intentionally, notice when the stakes are rising, maintain productive dialogue under pressure, and work toward an outcome that creates clarity about what happens next.

The focus is not on avoiding tension. It is on developing the capability to work through it.

At Kintsugi Training Institute, you’ll learn through realistic workplace scenarios, guided practice, discussion, reflection, and applied exercises led by experienced trainers.
